This week Dr. Sue Hamilton from the University of Tennessee interviewed Mel on Garden Talk about how SFG started, Mel’s Mix, conserving water, putting SFGs in every Utah elementary school, his upcoming October 11-13th San Diego Symposium, Square Meter Gardening being used around the world,  and the upcoming Incredible Edible Symposium at the Unviersity of TN in September.

Dr. Sue and the University of TN are excited to have Mel as the Keynote speaker at their Incredible Edible Symposium Farm to Table Dinner. “Farm to Table” is all the rage–Mel did it before it was cool! These college kids weren’t even born yet when Mel was developing the idea. Mel will sign books and greet faculty, staff, students, and attendees after the dinner. Saturday, Victoria Boudman, CEO of the Square Foot Gardening Foundation, will be joining Mel to teach SFG 101 and SFG 102.  It only takes one hour to learn the system, so having two sessions of SFG is a special bonus-especially because the second session will teach Vertical Gardening!

We invite you to listen to the Garden Talk clip below and join us for fun with Mel in Knoxville September 28-29th.
